About Kelly.
Kelly is a New York based Actor, Producer and Comedian. A native New Yorker he is thrilled he didn’t have to move here to pursue acting, New York was already the place. After a successful business career he started his full time acting work in 2009 at the tender young age of 50. He tried to put his business suit away but found out he had to take it out again when he was cast as businessmen in his early film projects.
Kelly graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a BA in History and as an Actor studied at Herbert Berghoff Studio. Kelly also studies privately with acting coaches.
Kelly is a proud US Army veteran and fitness enthusiast having run many races and marathons including New York and Boston. When not pumping iron and making gym rats nervous, Kelly likes to relax by playing pool which has become one of his special skills as an actor.
Kelly's first attraction to show biz was in Stand Up comedy and it was there that he first understood and learned the very special nature of live performance, especially Improv. He has appeared on Television, Off Broadway, Commercials, and in Independent Feature films, with a special emphasis on comedy characters due to his comedy roots.
Although primarily an actor he occasionally enjoys producing films and is especially proud of his having Executive Produced Johnny Greenlaw's feature film "Mommy's Box" which won Best Feature in the 2016 Manhattan Film Festival.
Other than searching for the perfect slice of pizza he tries to keep it simple. His philosophy on acting is that you never graduate and truly good acting is organic. His IMDb quote says it all: “To act is not to become someone else, but to find more of who you are.”
